Patch 0.1: Veyr, Food and Mobile

Food generation is tweaked, Veyr has more ways to earn and Veyrlands is now easier to use on mobile devices

Starting loadout tweaks

While starting with a City, Settler, Warrior, and Scout gave players an abundance of early options, it ultimately diluted the impact of your very first strategic choices. To make the opening turns more consequential, we are scaling back your initial forces.

Removed: You no longer start with a pre-built City or a Scout on Turn 1. Choose your ground wisely.

Veyr

We want Veyr to be a vital, actively managed pillar of your empire. In Patch 0.1, we are introducing new theological advancements and structures that allow you to invest heavily in your empire-wide Veyr generation.

Added: The following Technologies and Buildings now grant empire-wide Veyr bonuses:

Food consumption

Currently, empires are enjoying a surplus of food with very few economic drawbacks. To better simulate the struggles of a growing realm, starvation is now a real threat if left unchecked.

Adjustment: Cities now consume significantly more food per turn. Plan your agriculture accordingly.

Forfeiting

Have your lines broken? Are you down to your final, desperate Settler with no hope of a comeback? You no longer have to watch your empire slowly wither away.

Added: A new Forfeit option has been added to the game menu, allowing you to gracefully concede the match and look toward your next conquest.

As we scale Veyrlands into a premier 4K experience, we want every border, city block, and army movement to be instantly readable at a glance, without sacrificing the intricate, high-fidelity aesthetic of the Amber Vale.
