The world keeps moving

Every settlement, expedition, market shift, and regional power leaves a visible mark on the realm.

WHAT IS VEYRLANDS?

A civilization strategy game inside a world that keeps its history

You begin with a settlement and grow it into a civilization with its own place in the realm. Develop infrastructure and production, choose what your civilization becomes good at, secure what your region cannot provide, trade with other powers and send expeditions beyond familiar territory. Other civilizations are not background decoration. Their resources, routes, decisions and ambitions can directly change what is possible for yours.

Build. Produce. Specialize. Trade. Explore. Cooperate.

1

Build your settlements

Develop settlements and infrastructure that give your civilization room to grow.

2

Produce what your region supports

Turn local resources, labor and infrastructure into goods your people and the wider realm need.

3

Choose what you become good at

Invest in strengths instead of making your civilization equally capable at everything.

4

Trade for what you cannot secure alone

Exchange surpluses for scarce resources, useful goods and access controlled elsewhere.

5

Explore beyond familiar territory

Send expeditions into the unknown to discover regions, opportunities and independent powers.

6

Cooperate — or compete

Build relationships around shared interests and decide which powers your civilization can rely on.

A SESSION IN VEYRLANDS

Make decisions. Set plans in motion. Come back to a changed world.

Check what your settlements are producing. Decide what to build next. Adjust your investments, send an expedition, arrange a trade or respond to another power. Then leave when you are done. The realm continues between sessions, so Veyrlands is built around the quality of your decisions rather than how long you can keep a tab open.

WHY OTHER PLAYERS MATTER

No civilization should be completely self-sufficient

What is abundant in one region may be difficult to secure in another. A civilization strong in extraction may still need food, manufactured goods or access to routes controlled elsewhere. Scarcity creates trade. Trade creates dependence. Dependence creates diplomacy — and diplomacy creates history.

ECONOMY

Produce something the realm needs

Regional resources and specialization give civilizations reasons to exchange goods instead of progressing in isolation.

EXPLORATION

Discover opportunities beyond your borders

Expeditions reveal regions, resources and powers that can change your strategic options.

DIPLOMACY

Turn dependence into politics

Trade, geography and shared interests give relationships real strategic stakes.

Explore diplomacy

A LIVING REALM

Join a world, not a disposable match

Player civilizations share the realm with independent powers, unexplored territory, changing relationships and events that can alter what matters strategically. Cities, routes and political situations gain meaning because the same world continues around them.

LEAVE A LEGACY

Important actions can become part of the realm's history

Wars, alliances, discoveries, settlements and realm-wide events can become part of the World Chronicle. A civilization can rise, change or disappear without its story simply vanishing.
